The sweeping roads around the town are a haven for cyclists both professional of recreational.The roadsare quiet and generally have a good surface. There's off-road Mountain Biking to be had too, for those wishing to get down and dusty!
Skiers can be doing their thing within an hour...
High on the slopes of the Sierra Navada there are over 70 miles of alpine ski runs! The normal ski season is between the beginning of December and the end of April, sometimes the beginning of May. And with so many sunny days, it is often possible to Ski in the warmth and with clear blue skys.

The diverse Flora and Fauna mean that there is plenty to look at and maybe photograph too.
On the Beach...
Just 15 minutes away is the beach resort of Salobrena. Here you can laze on the beach or get involved with one of the many watersport activities available. There are some good Bars and Restaurants and plenty of shopping
